How accessible are reviews on your mobile device?

Foot traffic to brick and mortar stores has plummeted over the last year due to COVID-19 making direct to consumer e-commerce the buying option of choice. But how are shoppers doing their online buying? A recent study shows that more than 50% of purchasing is now done on mobile devices. People are not only spending more time shopping on their mobiles, but they are spending more time on them in general.

In 2020, the average American spent around 4 hours a day on their mobile devices. YouTube actually saw a 6X increase in time spent per user on their mobile app. Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers all spent between 16%-30% more in their most used app compared to 2019. All this time on devices also means more hours spent on shopping apps.
This means more time reading online reviews as well. 60% of consumers say they read reviews on their mobile device last year. Mobile review reading has grown steadily the last few years. Consumers are given more tools and features to help aid local business searches that might not be available on other devices.
During this transition, the focus for e-commerce has become making product reviews readily accessible on mobile devices, which in turn makes for seamless and easy transactions.
